“I moved through the day like a butterfly collecting nectar from each conversation, connection and exchange”
Some days feel like silent fermentation-slow, rich, and transformative where each interaction evolves into something meaningful.
At MICROGENFUTURISTICA–2026, Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, I was simply a microbiologist-immersed in the unseen yet profoundly fascinating world of microbes.
Professor Naveen Gupta, Head of Microbiology, a scientist, poet, and above all, a remarkable human being requested me to take two sessions for the budding scientists and entrepreneurs.
In the first, I shared my journey of building Biozazen, a social enterprise, based on microbial fermentation powering a range of ecofriendly solutions that replace chemical-based household cleaners to enabling fruiting and flowering in plants, and even supporting wastewater treatment. It’s fascinating how nature-led science can drive sustainable living.
The second session focused on the valorization of lignin as a compelling business case by Circlo for fostering a circular economy where agri waste becomes bioplastics, and innovation meets environmental responsibility.
Engaging with curious young minds and sparking meaningful conversations made the visit worthy.
